Connecting With Our Community — One Pet At A Time
If you’ve been following along with us lately, you already know February has been a busy and meaningful month — and we’re so grateful for the continued encouragement around our Share the Love & Sponsor A Pet Fundraiser. Rather than repeating details you’ve already seen, we wanted to pause and highlight something just as important as fundraising and essential to our mission: connection.
What we do isn’t just about pet food or vet bills — it’s about staying visible, accessible, and present in the community we serve.
Connected To Our Community
Connection happens in so many ways. It happens when we meet members of our community at local events. It happens through social media shares and comments. It happens when someone tells a friend or neighbor, “If you ever need help with pet food or a vet bill, call Helping Hands.” It happens when we connect with a local business, when someone drops off a donation during their weekly grocery run, or when a supporter forwards this very newsletter along.
Connection isn’t separate from our mission — it’s what makes our mission possible.
When pet owners know we’re here, they know help exists. When supporters stay engaged, resources come in. When local businesses partner with us, our reach grows. When donors give, our pet food pantry shelves stay stocked and vet bills are paid.
Recently, we’ve felt that connection growing. Through events, partnerships, and word of mouth, more people are recognizing our name and gaining a clearer understanding of what we do. That visibility matters — because when a pet owner finds themselves facing a difficult moment, knowing where to turn can make all the difference.
We’re honored to be considered a trusted resource for local pet owners and deeply appreciative of the many ways you continue to support our mission — through donations, conversations, social media engagement, or simply spreading the word.
Join Us at The Market at The Pinehills – February 21
One of the ways we stay connected is by showing up.
On Saturday, February 21 from 12–4 PM, we’ll be at The Market at The Pinehills collecting pet food and monetary donations.
We’re incredibly thankful to The Market for their continued partnership and for welcoming us back to promote our Share The Love & Sponsor A Pet Fundraiser.
If you’re nearby, we’d love for you to stop by, learn more about what we do, and say hello. Can’t make it to The Market? You can still support local pets through our Chewy.com Wish List, which is always updated with our most-needed pantry items and allows donations to ship directly to us.
Feeling The Love
This month, we’ve connected with local supporters who have shown incredible generosity — and we want to highlight two who have made a big impact.
A heartfelt thank you to Rob Arseneau for raising $1,133 in memory of his beloved hound, Belle! After her passing at 15, Rob chose to honor her life by giving back and encouraging others to support Plymouth Helping Hands for Animals in her name. We are deeply grateful for his kindness and for everyone who has contributed to Belle’s memorial fundraiser.
A special thank you to Bill Pozerycki, our largest Share the Love fundraiser supporter! He generously donated $500 to sponsor one full month of our pet food pantry at the Center for Active Living (CAL), directly helping local pet owners access the food they need.
These acts of love and support keep our mission moving forward and remind us why community matters.
Thank You For Staying Connected
Whether you connect with us at events, share our posts, donate supplies, forward our emails, or simply help spread the word — you are part of this growing network of support for local pets.
We’ve been spreading the love all month long — and we’re so close to reaching our goal of sponsoring 100 local pets! There’s still one week left to contribute to our Share the Love & Sponsor a Pet Fundraiser and help us make this a true success.
We hope to see you at The Market at The Pinehills on February 21. Until then, thank you for helping us stay connected — one pet at a time.
