Their Impact in Plymouth

MSPCA Cape Cod goes beyond the exam room. Through their Community Outreach Program, they partner with Helping Hands to share pet food and supplies with organizations like the Plymouth Family Resource Center’s Monthly Free Family Market, helping to fill a huge local need for pet food and essentials.

They also champion responsible pet ownership with informative programs, spay/neuter clinics that help control the pet population, and special care for feral and community cats. Simply put: they make our community a better place for pets and people alike!

Meet Bee (a.k.a. Angel)

Bee’s story is a perfect example of how MSPCA Cape Cod and Helping Hands work together to make a difference.

Bee is more than just a cat — she’s “his girl” to her dad, Tim. Recently, Bee was diagnosed with mammary cancer, and Tim was quoted thousands of dollars for the surgery she needed. The cost was overwhelming, but Tim refused to give up.

After searching for affordable options, Tim found the MSPCA Cape Cod Clinic, who offered to treat Bee for just $600 through their affordable care program. Helping Hands covered half the cost, and Tim handled the rest.

This week, Bee had her surgery and is now home recovering — soaking up love from Tim and enjoying a second chance thanks to affordable care and a community that cares.
