Meeting Growing Needs, Feeding More Pets!
As we gear up for fall and the colder months ahead, Plymouth Helping Hands for Animals is preparing to meet the growing needs of local pets and their loving owners. Rising food and heating costs, unexpected veterinary bills, and more households facing financial challenges mean that our services are needed more than ever. With your support, we are doing our best to meet that demand and help as many pets as possible, but the need continues to grow.
Right now, we could use your help to get ahead—whether it’s making a donation, purchasing items from our Chewy.com Wishlist, joining one of our upcoming events, or simply spreading the word about our mission. Every action makes a difference, helping ensure that local pets have the care and nourishment they need now and throughout the colder months ahead. Check out what’s happening this month for ways to get involved.
Golf Tournament: September 13th
Our 5th annual golf tournament is happening Friday, September 13th, and it’s not just a day of fun on the course—it’s a lifeline for pets in our community.
This year, funds from the tournament will feed over 1,000 pets and provide critical veterinary care to 30 pets in need. A fun day golfing translates directly into meals, medical care, and hope for pets who rely on us.
Not a golfer? No problem! You can still make a difference by contributing to our Pet Food Drive with Marty’s GMC happening on the same day, or by referencing our wishlist for our most wanted items and having them delivered directly to us.
Pet Food Pantries - Meeting Increasing Need
Our Center for Active Living (CAL) pantry saw one of our largest turnouts ever last Friday, September 5th. The reality is clear: the need is increasing, especially as winter approaches and costs rise.
Every bag of pet food we distribute helps pet owners keep their pets fed and cared for during challenging times. These pantries provide essential support, and the resources generated by events like our golf tournament allow us to stock them and serve more pets than ever.
Reminder: you can always check our monthly calendar for upcoming events and pantry dates.
Feeling Grateful For Our Supporters
We are deeply thankful for every member of our community who helps make our work possible. Whether you participate in events, donate, or simply spread the word about our mission, your support directly changes the lives of pets in need.
As we move into the colder months, we are especially grateful to have such a caring community by our side. Together, we’ll continue feeding more pets and meeting growing needs.
